Players of instruments shall be gathered round Jahovia's throne. There is sooooooo much conscious roots on tuff riddims and yet you choose to play things like Sizzla, Ward 21, Elephant man and Jah knows what else! Please enlighten me why you do it.

Why not play Sizzla, Ward 21 or Ele? A good tune is a good tune, and you can't argue about taste. It's not because you don't like their style that everybody thinks the same.

even better, most of the sounds who play dancehall tunes are playing conscious selections as well (& much more than that only)...open your mind & ears!

iriedaily, if yuh do not like it, than don't listen to it....
Leave that conscious crap aside, with that i don't mean to criticize conscious songtexts, but surely you're just not ready for the dancehall. Have u brought yourself to read some songtexts of Sizzla to see what he is saying? Sizzla speaks words of wisdom...
And who is Jahovia ? Probaly you meant Jehovah, if you were sooo consious you wouldn't spell the Lords name incorrect.

I never heard about Jahovia, i saw it on google but does google give you the truth always ? In my bible God is Jehovah, maybe in other books its Jehovia. I never read that bible and i am not planning to do so. I believe Jehovah is a translation in King James, for the Hebrew word YHVH, translators made Yehovah out of it, later it became Jehovah, the word also sounds like A-do-nai. see the way it is written in Hebrew: But doesn't matter how you call Him afterall as long as you deeply believe in a higher power that is guiding us and it is quite off topic....

First of all I am not a 'sir', me am a girl
Second of all, to me and many other Sizzla's lyrics are truly words of wisdom. Sizzla is pure poetry !!
See some examples:
1) Black woman and child:
Motherland Africa still remains so fine Empresses and emperors living from in those times I know you are the first to give birth unto mankind Now let mi seh oh di earth, Queen Omega is divine ooh yeah take I to Zion I give thy praise that's where my covenant will be always how have you been going through those days? You've been away for many days
2) No white God:
Ooh mi face con thought with anger cause that no right how could all things good and valuable must be white? cho! what about the black that did the most in life? You and you white supremacy want treat me as you… you change the version of the Bible, who you a trick? Memba all who do evil won’t go unpunished bear you iniquity you have no wisdom nor wit all evilous people shall sink in a a…..
Anyway i respect what you say but i don't care what you think. Sizzla = Poetry

Sizzla = Poetry Yes, many of his lirycs are words of wisdom but if you compare dem with his words of crap don't they lose their credibility?? Don't get me wrong, I love dancehall, I love the way sizzla can put up different styles but to me he is just a big hypocrite who makes good music

The thing is, all this questions come up because someone wants to post to a forum so badly and have no idea what to post and then such damn questions comes up.
First of all talk about conciousness. are the lyrics of Sizzla, Elephant Man, Ward 21 and so on much worse than the R&B singers who call every woman bitches and whore's? this is a free world where everyone is free to sing what they want. and if u know u dont like to hear the music then dont listen...
And believe it or not Sizzla is a present day Legend. he have sang music that entertain people who liked to be entertained... there are so many music that many people dont like to hear, no one is forced to listen to it. not u going to a party jump and dance to dancehall then go home and write a forum critisizing the artist's..
and Hey Wizzard of Oz, who is the hypocrite? Sizzla talking about his feelings that comes straight from his soul or you talking about long gun in a language u only use because it sounds cool to you?.
leave them artist alone let them sing what they want to sing. God Bless Sizzla and all the artists defending my people. Big up.
