Ross Kemp on Gangs - Jamaica - Kingston Ross Kemp on Gangs is a BAFTA award-winning documentary series shown on Sky One then repeated on Sky Three. On May 20th 2007 the series won a BAFTA award for best factual series. The show is hosted by actor Ross Kemp, best known for his role of Grant Mitchell in the show EastEnders. Kemp's character on Eastenders has been involved in several storylines involving gangs. On the show Kemp travels around the world talking to gang members, locals who have been affected by gang violence, and the authorities who are attempting to combat the problem. In each episode he attempts to establish contacts within the gangs who can arrange interviews with the gangs' leaders. The first episode of the third series of the program was shown on Sky One on Monday 1st October at 9pm. The program has been shown overseas, but there is a copyright ban on showing episodes in the country where they were shot. Hence TV One in New Zealand screened the first series, except for Episode 2 - New Zealand. The second series will air in Slovenia on TV3 Slovenia starting Sunday 17th August at 11pm. The series is titled "Ross Kemp on Gangs II" and translated into "Ross Kemp o tolpah".
