Unless I misunderstood the lyrics, it doesn't make sense to me. As far as I know vegetable does not rhyme with rebel, like "pebble" or "treble" do, unless you pronounce it like Tony Rebel does in his song.
Personally I think it sounds stupid (that's my opinion and anyone is free to disagree)
