Ja echt, goed bezig mannen!! En voor Etana is dit niet de eerste keer!! Ook op Jamaica zelf afzeggen en dan toch terug van gedacht veranderen... Time for new management girl!! Rebel Ze heeft blijkbaar geluisterd (Uit The Star van 24/09/2009): Etana no longer with 'Solid' - Singer now under Irish and Chin management Singer Etana has left long time booking agent, the Sharon Burke-led Solid Agency, to work with Irish and Chin who will be managing her career and Headline Entertainment, who will be dealing with the artiste's bookings. Rumours had been circulating since March of this year that the singer was planning to leave Solid Agency, but when contacted at the time, said she was still working with them. When THE STAR spoke with the singer yesterday, she was off to Ghana, Africa to perform at an event. She, however, explained that she was working on developing 'brand Etana', hence the move to include more industry personnel on her team. She also made it clear that the move from Solid Agency was an amicable one and that there are no hard feelings between herself and the company. creating a different structure She said: "Sharon Burke has done a whole lot for me, I can never say I didn't accomplish anything in my three years there. If you look at international artistes compared to Caribbean artistes, they have more people doing things for them, making them successful. Right now, I want to achieve more and Sharon is only one person, so I'm making some changes and just creating a different structure to build more of brand Etana." In an effort to build her name more in the business, the singer has released a number of new singles including Happy Heart, August Town, Free and the love song Can I with DeMarco. The two will also be shooting a video for Can Isoon. Last year, Etana released her debut album 'The Strong One' and told THE STAR that she was planning to release her sophomore yet-to-be titled album for summer of next year. For her upcoming album, Etana plans to stay true to her roots but with a difference saying, "Jamaica has always been wid me since Wrong Address, so it's about Jamaica first rather than internationally. I plan to introduce a different style fused with reggae, but look for better music."
