Goed verslagske vanop dhr: Well first off the crowd nice, mature and no trouble at all.
I reached bout 30 mins before clash time, earlywarm was dropping 45 only. Place wasnt ramm at that point.
I will try & sum up
Early...
Rodigan 1st round...solid round all new tune, On the rock & unknown numba stood out
Matterhorn...Didnt really have a any decent tune to fit his arrogance & the crowd quickly decided he was gonna ketch an early booo. Not sure why but the ppl neva rated him at all.
Panta...1o mins of "ALL who na fuk Batti & Suk pussi" hand in the air...quickly lost him any crowd
WHo Nxt..Jaro...Trooper wore a white jacket & hat really stood out...When their 1st tune dropped "Jaro don't fear" man dat was something special.
SO they easily walk through. Trooper & Freddies chemistry was nice, mixin on point with speeches.
Sentinel....Struggled to connect with the crowd, hung in there with the odd little forward, It was difficult to fully understand Elmars speeches on the sound.
Crown...Steady, customs, regular speech did enuff. sayin things like "me's a 3rd round selector/mighty crown gonna create history 2night" etc etc
BO....Played a wicked round - waited for all cards to be draw the dropped a wicked "regular" BO round...the connect between Mark & Squigin was real real impressive.
Then the place was ramm ...
Roddi...Safety through, it was obivious that Back classic foundation tunes, cut well were gonna get the best response from the night...Roddy was sitting
in a good postion at this point. The "IF A WAR" dance was funny as fuk too.
Matterhorn...Horrible round, an actual embassiment...Boo'd from early...Had been rinsed to fuk bout Dutty Whine, so all ova the place with his selections tryna find one forward ...that never came.
Panta....see 1st round & u got the same again 1o mins of "ALL who na fuk Batti & Suk pussi" hand in the air, rae rae NO FORWARD
Jaro.... Started off with "My dream las nite"....Stratford Rex went maddd.
Hmm trooper made his usual "eye water inna me eye" "me's the ongle man to buss 2 sounds" speeches...a couple of rusty moments from Freddy.
Sentinel....Real real good round (best 2nd round off all sounds)...fought there way back from a average 1st round...wicked counter to the unknown numba (again)
When Nadia came on stage & the cecile custom played bout"troopa beggin to suck her pussi etc etc" place BUSSS. Elmar performed well at that stage.
Crown...did ok...but cant rememba anything special
BO - Squinqin was clever, it was obvious that Matterhorn & Black Kat were gone, so Squiqin basically got the crowd to confirm it...He was bossing the clash at this stage
Black kat / Matterhorn gone...
Vocal Round
Roddy - WOn this round by a country mile....All the speeches weve come to expect...."When this bassline was built in 69", "In Dec 94 we lost this artist"
The quality/way they have been built made Rodigan Dubplates really stand out in a real live clash enviroment...Ok yes weve heard them all before.
But the delivery of tune along with the quality of dub...makes it special.
Trooper... Struggled ...can u believe...Speeches were getting abit lame & Garnet wasnt connecting at this stage.
Sentinel...ALot of big tunes had gone at this stage & they struggled to get any real BIG forwards..A numba of Beres tunes wasnt enuff...
it was clear at this point, they had come to the end of the road.
Crown...Big Jimmy CLiff, nice round...the betta MC took ova & ninja was now selecting.
BO - Again dictated the pace, cussed Matterhorn again.... played steady & walked through...Squinqin was the BOSS still.
The German Luger OUT
Nxt Round...
Roddy...Stuck on the older/reggae tunes...dropped the Jamaica/jamacia Supacat ...nice forward.
Jaro....Sticky kinda flopped
Crown...Played poor, flopped more than Jaro - Their creating history by the way was an recording of Freddy dissin sound trooper a couple yrs back
when troopa had left, it went "If Sound trooper ever come clash Jaro, me would buss up him pussi" etc etc..Then crown dropped "u run gawn lef ur old frens"
Bass Odyessy - Was brave & changed up the dance in the Odyessy way to Newer/hyper tunes...Speeches like "Killa & me DJ, PPl can I play one bran new bounti" No otha sound woulda connected like that by changing up the ting
Verdict ...BO WON, It was sticky between Crown & jaro..I thought Jaro should got through...but it seemed like ppl were fraid fi put up dem hands for Crown, dunno why maybe they were expecting more from the 45 round & kept dem in.
45/no bad wurd round...
Roddy...1st time Ive heard him play a 45 round in one of these events....The Mashed UP the dance to the fullest & showed wat a 1st class selector is all about.
He had the crowd sing back the tunes like a bloodclart Take that concert.
Crown...WOw "my Gawd" WOW did smaddy say flop, or wot.....Really really awful,,ppl were clapping them out if the dance. 2 of the songs they played were utter garbage...PPL let me mek diss statement...FOR ALL THE WINS THAT MIGHTY CROWN HAVE HAD SINCE 99 - BWOY THEN CAME DOWN TO EARTH IN STRATFORD REX LAS NITE..
UK PPL finally got tired of there shit... DEM looked like skool bwoys against giants ...
BO...Played wicked again...Garnet Silks "Mama" Place flattern...again squiqin haad the crowd singin back the tune....
Rodigan took the round IMO, so it was 2 rounds each
Tune Fi Tune..
Odyessy stole a quick lead & I thought they were gonna runn way wid it, Roddy came back switched up the dance with the "don dada" tune...When that dropped for a second the place was quiet...then all of a sudden the place went crazy.
Then it got the 4 -2 in roddys favour...they were very equal with the nxt tune. After voting 3 times the judges gave it to roddy to take it to 5 - 2,
but the odyessy fans were booing...so David came up & said "if it aint fair, lets vote again" so they did & decided it was a draw.
BO came back to 5-4, then roddy squared it off again....But one final Garnet Silk saw BO to the finishing line...
In summary..Prolly a fair result but in all honestly it was very close & Roddy could have easily took the clash.

of de Squingy die de Roddi zijne speech countert met, i don't know when and where this tune was cut but it bad
