Greetings massive and crew..
Newsflash straight outta the Westside: A new sound is born!
Groove Station is a brand new Beljam based turntable collective, consisting of three soundboys from the Westside: Bramsun, Fireman & Rubinho. They seek to serve a balanced mix of reggae and dancehall, ranging from the early Jamaican grooves over vintage and new roots to the more digital part of reggae music β from sleng teng to the latest dancehall productions. They try to nice up their sets with toastings, sound effects and a lot of positive energy.
Yet several years in the buzzinezz, they already played on many festivals and parties in different clubs all over the country and abroad, alongside many local and international sounds β such as Topaz, Civalizee, & Herb-a-lize Itβ and live artists β like Prince Jazzbo, Omar Perry & MessenJah. As founding members of Skylarkin' Sound, BRAMSUN and RUBINHO performed twice on Reggae Geel (2004 & 2005) and even juggled on Summerjam in Cologne, Germany (2005). FIREMAN is the originator of the former Crossfire Crew and enforced Skylarkin' after Bramsun's withdrawal in 2006. This project came to an end in 2007 after some argument and trouble with the mc. Early 2008, the ambitious leftovers decided to join forces with the intention to mash up every dance and please every crowd on their way. Living on different places in the country they proceed organising parties together all over Beljam, from 't Jaar 30 in Motown and upcoming bashments at De Slekke in Ktown to the famous JAMROCK & RastaRumba parties at club Rumba&co in Leuven, where Rubinho is studying.
