Reggae Icon Bob Marley's Mom Passes Away In South Florida By Kon-Vick OutAroad.com Writer Photo courtesy of classical-reggae-interviews.org  OutAroad.com received a depressing letter last night informing us of the death of Cedella Marley Booker who has passed away peacefully in her South Florida home. Cedella who’s the mother of the late reggae icon Robert Nesta Marley was 81 years old. According to a source close to the family Cedella Marley died of natural causes. “She died peacefully in the surroundings of all her friends and love ones”. It’s evident that the great reggae icon Bob Marley inherits his musical talent from his mother as she was also a great musician and author. Cedella released two greatly produced albums titled “Smilin’ Island of Song” and “Awake Zion”. As an author she had written two magnificent books about her son.
